The Prayer

I adore my beloved land and its beloved sand
It has seen many turmoil; of guns and gores
Is there a God, I knock on his door
Please pay attention to my bleeding lore
I ask for forgiveness, and something more
Freedom to us, else we would roar
Pleading I do before God
Solve this problem or our feet will sore
These men are dangerous
Luxuriate and chess is all they do
Leaving a common man besought in chores.
