The Ash Didn’t Fall Tonight!

Do you?
hear my words…
Yes I am awake in this dark!
when the clouds outside
accompany the sky
and the rain concealed the stars
and the death of life
is hovering about the lanes
do you?
hear my voice…
when the phantoms of
the darkest hour
wander about free
over the waters and the tall
the lofty chinars
and vast grounds…
Do you?
Recognise me now…
From same old book
with yellow pages
with the thought
of emptiness…
And tales of agony
Do you?
feel the warmth
of my cold quilt…
And of numbness
of my soul…
Tell these creatures,
waiting outside…
Tell them…
That the Ash,
didn’t fall tonight!
