Over the crimson look of hearts

The shadows of guilt

That nearly tears us apart

When they overcome the sun

And shun the night stars

When darkness dooms the day

Behind the ruins of war

When daylight seems gloomy

And the nights chill our spines

When smiles are gone and tears dry up

And sweet things turns to brine

It takes with it the chunks of heart

And a bit of partial life

And words untold and memories old

It rips us out in strife

It befalls in life as of sorrow

It causes the pain and regret

It causes anxiety and deep disgrace

A phase we can never forget
