Mother | Queen of Love

Woe be to the heart
If it knows not
Moon, though brighter
Cannot outshine
Face of my mother
Sacred her glimpse
Salvageth; bedridden
Her words sweeter
Than honey & sugar
Wherein salve & remedy
Are blended together

Love and care
Flow through her fingers
Bowl of food
She mixes when
Shrinked stomach of mine
Responds queerly
Will the food of heaven
Ever taste like this?
Why shan’t I?
Bow to her fidelity
Who ceded her life
To her family.
“Laila & Majnoon”
“Shirin & Farhad”
Their love; immortal
Rests in heaven.
Yet, Heaven sets about
Beneath the feet-
Of mother.
