Blown Out Chandeliers

Some old letters of you, I found today,
lying betwixt my old forgotten diaries –
To light up the darkness of the room
and the ruins of my heart.

Some letters showcased infinite
dreams woven by a bride to be..
Some letters, I found ablaze in the
scorching midday heat of the sun..
Some spoke rhapsodies of togetherness and belonging
and some of the ruthless eons of longing.
Some whispered promises of afterlife and forever
Some made the wind chimes of the heart
echo on the breeze of lost love..

In the quiet of the night,
I and the moon kept searching for an answer
that it kept asking me so vehemently
“How was it that you lost him on way?”
