Again and Again

Again and again
I chase your shadows
in the forest of wilderness
only to grab the thorns
of glum and woes.
The verses of my poetry
roll with my tears
weaving poems
full of longing and pain.
Your memory encased
in my verses and prayers
seeks countless answers
from my downtrodden heart.
Will our dust ridden garden
see a refreshing spring again?
Will our hands again hold in unison
the roses and daffodils of love and joy?
