A Mourning

The clock is ticking, the wheel’s turning
Fate is playing its cruel game again
The shock has settled, my eyes are burning
They say I’ll never see your face again

I fear the absolute stillness of your heart,
I fear your memories which are falling apart,
You run farther, I can’t watch you leave
But there won’t be another farewell again

The clock is ticking, the wheel’s turning
Fate will repeat its game again
The truth has settled, I will be waiting
Till death comes knocking at my door again.
